Triennium – 2007

I’d love to go on a mission project, but we don’t have enough kids to plan one.

I’d like to go to Triennium, but I don’t know anyone else who’s going.

I wish we could think of some ways to involve kids in our youth group meetings.

How can I find out about what’s going on in youth ministry?

Presbyterian Youth Connection is ready to help with these concerns.

PYC exists as a place for youth to share times of fellowship and to share ideas. The program offers opportunities for growing in leadership and for joining in worship and service experiences with others in Newton Presbytery and even with youth in our synod and across the country.

We are always looking for folks to help plan and carry out our events. We welcome all churches to send youth and / or adult reps to PYC Council. We meet monthly, usually on the first Tuesday, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Newton Presbytery office in Randolph. PYC Council is not a real formal organization. Any interested person can come and join in the discussion. If your church wants to be “connected,” just show up at a meeting or an event, or call the Presbytery office to let us know of your interest.

PYC events are open to youth from all of the Presbytery’s churches. Churches without organized youth fellowship programs are welcome to participate. We encourage church pre-registrations for the events so we will know how many people to expect. Flyers with details of events are sent to “Youth Leader” in all churches. When you receive these flyers, please pass them on to your appropriate youth groups. Current minutes are posted on this website.

Please contact the Presbytery Office at 973-361-0084 with any questions.
