Grace Notes

We were not born simply to stand around and breathe.
We were born to bring a gift into the world without
which the world would be a poorer place.

From the Acting Executive Presbyter

November, 2006

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

There has been a growing desire to encourage spiritual awareness and growth within the Presbytery of Newton. To that end, a Newton Presbytery Prayer Calendar was developed several years ago. As you will see on the calendar, churches or groups within the presbytery are listed for each Sunday. We hope that many of you will join your presbytery staff and others by including them in your prayers. Many churches print the list in their bulletins or newsletters
and include them in the prayers during worship.

This is an opportunity to know about the various ministries going on in our midst and to enable more of a sense of partnership among us. Please consider making this a spiritual discipline for you this year.

Happy to be in ministry with you,

Jean Johnston

"Please continue to be in prayer for the Presbytery Council and the Search Committee for New Leadership as God's will is discerned for the future."
