All women members of the Presbytery churches are members of Presbyterian Women. Active members participate in circles in their local congregations; in Presbytery events, such as the retreats that are held; and at the gatherings at various member churches. There are also Synod of the Northeast events, and a national Triennium gathering. Check the calendar for these and other Presbyterian Women events. The Year 2005 marks the 75th Anniversary of women ordained as elders in our denomination.
The Year 2006 marks 50 years of women clergy. PC(USA) material on Ordination of Women: a Herstory is available through the Presbytery Office. This material can be used in a newsletter or as a bulletin insert.
