At its most recent meeting the Presbytery of Newton accepted a detailed proposal to train, nurture and accept Commissioned Lay Pastors to serve within the bounds of the presbytery. The Commissioned Lay Pastor (CLP) Program invites elders who are members of our churches to explore leadership roles as Lay Pastors. Any elder wishing to pursue this unique way of serving the Church of Jesus Christ and thereby help ease the demand on the reported shortage of ordained ministers, and at the same time grow in their personal walk in service to Jesus Christ, may request from the presbytery office a copy of the Commissioned Lay Pastors Program.
Option 1: The presbytery office may be able to provide additional
referrals for all who have an interest in the CLP Program.
Option 2: Pastor Don Mossa of the Stillwater Presbyterian Church,
who is one of the many who worked on the CLP Program, is also available
to answer questions for anyone who has an interest in the program. (For

Take
Exit 28 for and follow Route 46 to Ledgewood. At the intersection with
Route 10, follow Route 10 for about six miles Eastbound to Randolph Township.

Route I-78:
Take
the Exit for Route I-287 Northbound. Follow I-287 to the Exit for Route
10 Westbound. follow signs to Dover and follow directions below from Route
10 Westbound.

Pass
County College of Morris on your right and go through the intersection
with Center Grove Road. Stay to your right. Just after the Romantico
Restaurant on your right, take the jughandle to your right. Stay left
at the end
of the ramp to cross Route 10 at the traffic signal at the intersection
of Route 10 with Millbrook Avenue. Turn left onto Route 10 and turn
right
into the very first driveway after taking Route 10 Westbound … (follow

Proceeding
West from the Kmart Shopping Center, stay to the right. Just after the
Millbrook Fire Department on your right, go straight through the traffic
signal at the intersection of Route 10 with Millbrook Avenue. Turn right
