Judy Kolwicz comes to Newton Presbytery from her position as Interim/Transitional Executive Presbyter of Miami Presbytery in Southwest Ohio. Prior to her service in Miami Presbytery Judy served as Executive Presbyter in the Northwest and Upper Midwest. She served congregations in Ohio and North Dakota as Pastor, Interim Pastor, and Associate Pastor.

Before ordination to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament, Judy served as an Elder on Session. Other professional experience includes teaching Latin and French, directing a University residence hall, and as a guidance counselor in a public school.

Judy received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bucknell University, a Masters in counseling from Ohio University and her MDiv from Trinity Lutheran Seminary. Much of her continuing education has been intentionally focused on leadership, change and systems theories.

The mother of three grown children and grandmother of eight, Judy enjoys reading, needlework, knitting, and traveling.
