Dave
Weippert chairs the subcommittee
that deals with terms of call /
employment for church pastors, as
well as manse conditions and some
pension issues.

Researches
worship philosophies and practices and makes recommendations to presbytery
for its corporate worship. They also share new ideas through the Presbytery
Pack.

Distributes
information of interest to the older members of our presbytery, including
information on health programs, memorial societies, and county programs.

Studies
and provides materials on global peacemaking and anti-violence within
society and the family.

Works
with congregations of any size which seek to revitalize and re-energize
their ministry by providing resources, both ideological and financial.
It is also the CDRC's mission to strategize the development of new congregations
and/or joint ministry efforts within the bounds of Newton Presbytery.

|
|
All
women of the church are members of Presbyterian Women. Active members
participate in their local congregations, in prebytery events such as
the March retreat, and the spring and fall gatherings
at presbytery churches. There are also events at the Synod of the Northeast,
and a national Triennium gathering.

Plans
the workshops held every year in March. This workshop offers
courses for ministers and laity who want to learn to strengthen
their leadership skills, or explore new topics.

|
Implements
joint programs between Newton Presbytery and our sister presbytery in
Nairobi, Kenya. Some of the activities this committee coordinates include
travel opportunities, communications, and African projects funded by our
presbytery.

Dedicated
to helping member churches with their Christian Education activities and
programs. POINT, a subgroup of this committee, is specially trained to
help with the PC USA curriculum.
|

Plans
activities for junior and senior high schoolers throughout the presbytery,
whether the church has a youth group or not.
